Charlize Theron‘s character in “Snow White The Huntsman” — the beautiful but evil Queen Ravenna — spends a lot of time in front of the mirror, but the 36-year-old actress says she didn’t like the way she looked when she was younger because all her baby teeth had to be pulled out of her mouth.

Theron tells The Sun, “I had these fangs because I had jaundice when I was a kid and I was put on so many antibiotics that my teeth rotted. They had to cut them out.”

Theron recalls, “I never had [baby] teeth. That was tough, you know, being in school having photos taken while I was pretending I had teeth. It was hideous.”

Paul McCartney may be about to be surpassed as the wealthiest rock musician in the world by U2 frontman Bono.  NME.com reports that the Irish rocker, who owns a 2.3 percent stake in Facebook, is expected to see his net worth increase significantly when the social-networking company goes public on Friday.

Facebook is valued at more than $100 billion, which will make Bono’s share worth in excess of $1.5 billion.  In comparison, the Beatles legend’s fortune is estimated to be slightly over $1 billion.

Bono bought his Facebook shares for about $90 million back in 2009 through his private equity company Elevation Partners.

Jessica Sanchez and Phillip Phillips will compete for the “American Idol” crown on next week’s finale. Joshua Ledet was eliminated on Thursday night’s results show, and he sang James Brown’s “It’s a Man’s, Man’s, Man’s World” for his farewell song. Some 90 million votes were cast to determine who made it to the top two.

The top three opened the show with a group performance of the Beatles’ “Got to Get You into My Life.”  In a segment apparently taped before contestant Hollie Cavanagh was eliminated, the top four went to 20th Century Fox Studios to lend their voices to a song from the upcoming movie “Ice Age: Continental Drift”. Drake, Jennifer Lopez and Queen Latifah also sang on the track.

Songwriter Carole Bayer Sager and actress-turned-singer Rita Wilson sat by Jimmy Iovine in the audience and joined host Ryan Seacrest in remembering the late disco legend Donna Summer.

Lisa Marie Presley took the Idol stage for the first time to sing “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet,” and Idol alum Adam Lambert performed “Never Close Our Eyes” from his new album, Trespassing.

Jessica and Phillip will perform on American Idol Tuesday night at 8:00 Eastern on Fox. The Idol winner will be announced on Wednesday night’s show.

We may often hear about fire emergencies, but feel it may never happen to us. Well, actually it can. So, you must know what to do. In an actual fire emergency situation, one must make sure that the fire escape system is efficient and works without any problem. For this, training is essential. Each employee must be trained well as to the safety features of the place. This is a legal requirement, as we must work in compliance with the Fire Safety Order, which states that every single piece of fire safety equipment should be maintained and kept in excellent working order and the positioning of the fire exit signs should be done correctly. This should preferably be with some sort of automatic fire door holding safety system without confusing anyone. People may panic – in which case, it should still be easy for them to see the emergency exit signs. Here, it has been proven that LED exit signs are the most effective signs.

Each sign must conveniently be at the natural line of vision. Examples of such places are at the end of corridors, at the fire exits themselves and at the end of each stairway on the way down. The lighting should also be of a good quality, such as LED exit signs, so that everyone notices them. They should be more or less positioned a few inches over 5 feet – which is the average human height.

When a training is also given to the employees, it makes your office truly safe. Don’t leave anything undone. Do all that you need to do.

gty russell brand jef 120517 wblog I Still Love Her, Russell Brand Says of Katy Perry

After dodging questions about his notably public divorce from pop star Katy Perry, and heckling a fan who taunted him about his ex at a recent stand-up show, comedian Russell Brand has broken his silence about his failed marriage with a pointed confession.

“I still love her as a human being, but sometimes when you’re in a relationship, I suppose it doesn’t work out, does it,” he said Thursday during an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

“I was very happy to be married to her. She’s such a beautiful human being and I just have only love and positivity for her,” Brand added.

The 36-year-old comedian filed for divorce from Perry, 27, in December, citing irreconcilable differences. The two had been married for 14 months, and it was rumored he wanted her to cut back on her partying.

“The interesting thing about what Russell said now is this is what I’ve been hearing all along from sources,” Ian Drew of Us Weekly magazine told “Good Morning America.” “That Russell and Katy didn’t really have this big crashing animosity, that what really was at fault in the relationship … Russell realized she wasn’t at a place where he was in his life.”

Fresh off the divorce, Perry expressed her pain freely in February on stage at the Grammy Awards, performing the song “Part of Me.” Many believe the lyrics were aimed at Brand.

Up until now, Brand has been quiet about the split, but it has been rumored that he sent her an email expressing regret about the breakup.

But Drew said Brand never reached out to Perry.

“We should hang up the notion that Katy and Russell are going to reconcile,” he said. “They are doing what many people should be doing, which is splitting and ending things on a good note.”

Donna Summer may be best remembered as the Queen of Disco, but she became an enduring artist whose legacy extends to some of today’s biggest pop stars.

“When you talk about Beyonce, who wants to be known for several things, Donna Summer made that possible,” Billboard editor Joe Levy told ABCNews.com. “She was a dance artist and a disco artist, but she also wanted to do rock songs and Broadway-like ballads. She continued to work well beyond her prime and remained relatively active throughout her life. She started as a sensation and became a career artist.”

Summer was finishing up an album when she lost her battle with lung cancer. Summer died Thursday at age 63 in Florida.

Her family released the following statement Thursday: “Early this morning, surrounded by family, we lost Donna Summer Sudano, a woman of many gifts, the greatest being her faith. While we grieve her passing, we are at peace celebrating her extraordinary life and her continued legacy. Words truly can’t express how much we appreciate your prayers and love for our family at this sensitive time.”

News of her death shocked the music world.

“RIP Donna Summer. Pls RT to show your condolences,” Beyonce posted on Twitter.

Mary J. Blige tweeted, “RIP Donna Summers!!!!!!!!! You were truly a game changer!!!”

Levy said Summer changed the course of music for years to come with her hits “Love to Love You Baby” and “I Feel Love.” “She and her producers not only pioneered the electronic sound but changed the music format by doing 17-minute versions, which lead to the popularity of the 12-inch dance single.”

Born LaDonna Gaines outside Boston, Summer was raised by devout Christian parents who introduced her to both gospel and classical music. In a 2008 interview with ABC News’ “Nightline,” Summer remembered her mom singing songs to her before going to bed each night.

6 Things You May Not Know About Donna Summer

“As long as the classical station was playing on the radio, I wouldn’t cry,” she said. “If it was on for 20 hours, I would sleep for 20 hours. I would be calm. So I think that my mother probably helped my sense of musicality just by doing that.”

Summer left home at age 18 to audition for the Broadway production of “Hair” and got a role in the show when it moved to Germany. There, she met producer Giorgio Moroder, who had an idea for a highly sensualized repetitive record and asked Summer to record the demo, Levy said. He liked the recording of “Love to Love You Baby” so much that he released it, and soon the label was asking for a longer version to be played in the disco clubs.

Summer’s next hit, “I Feel Love,” was considered groundbreaking for its robotic, synthesized sound which would soon set the standard for disco. David Bowe, who was making a record in Berlin at the time, described it as the sound of the future, Levy said.

But Summer was not to be typecast. The mezzo-soprano went on to sing disco ballads like “Last dance” and the Barbra Streisand duet “No More Tears” and pop songs like “MacArthur Park” and “She Works Hard for the Money,” a song that was inspired by a washroom attendant.
